ABSTRACT
Over the last few years, through the technological improvements, musculoskeletal ultrasonography (MSUS) has become an increasingly used imaging method in the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases. Its ability to detect many pathological conditions at the very early stages of the diseases and being a reliable and efficient tool for monitoring disease activity increase the importance of MSUS. This review discusses the issues connected with the MSUS including; basic requirements, technical equipments and clinical applications.
